A night for country

Last night, Nashivlle, Tennessee hosted the CMT Music Awards. Airing on the CMT channel, the winners included American Idol finalist, Kellie Pickler, Taylor Swift, and Trace Adkins.

The show was hosted by Billy Ray Cyrus and his daughter Miley. The opening act was Keith Urban and his performance of "Raise the Barn," featuring Brooks & Dunn.

Pickler who was not in attendance walked away with wins in all three of her nominations, including breakthrough video for "I wonder." Swift took home the evening's top honor, winning video of the year for "Our Song," and top female vocalist.

Other wins included Adkins for top male honors with "I Got My Game On," Alison Krauss and Robert Plant for their video for "Gone, Gone, Gone (Done Move On)," and Bon Jovi with LeAnn Rimes for "Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore."
